What reserved task funding means
Microincome uses reserved task budgets so an Employer funds work before Freelancers are paid for approved submissions. “Escrow” here describes the platform’s budget reservation and settlement workflow. It is not a representation that Microincome is a bank, a licensed escrow trustee, or an insured deposit provider. Payment-provider protections are subject to their own applicable terms.
The funded-task workflow
- An Employer prepares a task with its requirements, number of worker slots, reward, review period, and any optional promotion.
- Submitting a funded task reserves the required budget from the Deposit Wallet. Saving a draft does not reserve the task budget.
- The task goes through the applicable moderation and availability checks; a Freelancer follows its requirements and submits proof.
- The Employer reviews eligible proof. Approval records the reward in the Freelancer’s Earnings Wallet.
- The task and wallet records show the resulting status; any eligible unused budget is reconciled under the task-ending workflow.
Reservations while a submission is pending
The task budget is already reserved when the funded task is submitted. A pending submission represents a claim against that task’s available reward budget; it is not a second deposit charge. Reserved budget is unavailable for unrelated spending until it is paid or returned through the appropriate task workflow. Merely applying for or viewing a task does not establish an earned reward.
Approval and settlement
Approval credits the reward recorded for the task to the Freelancer’s Earnings Wallet and creates a ledger entry. An approved work reward is not automatically a transfer to the Freelancer’s bank account. Withdrawal is a separate request under the Withdrawal Policy. Any applicable separately quoted charges are explained on the relevant confirmation screen.
Records and payment transparency
Employers can consult Created Tasks, Review Submissions, Deposit Wallet history, and Employer Statements. Freelancers can consult My Submissions and Earnings Wallet history. References, dates, status, and the recorded amount help support reconcile a payment issue. Payment methods available in a wallet are the current supported methods; availability can change.
Rejected proof and released availability
Rejected work does not earn the task reward. Its claim on a slot or budget follows the task’s review rules; rejection does not automatically refund the entire deposit or task budget to a bank. An Employer must give an honest reason based on the posted requirements. A Freelancer may correct or resubmit only where the task and current controls allow it.
Review deadlines and automatic approval
The review deadline is recorded for each submitted proof. The task’s configured review period is limited to 72 hours in the current task workflow. Eligible pending submissions can be approved by scheduled processing when that deadline expires. A security hold or another valid platform restriction can pause settlement. The displayed deadline and status govern the particular submission; automatic approval is not permission to submit false proof.
Reviewing a dispute
Either party may contact support with the task instructions, submission, rejection reason, relevant dates, and payment references. We may seek clarification from both sides and review the available records. Funds and account access may remain restricted while a genuine security or payment issue is examined. A documented outcome determines an authorised correction or release, subject to statutory rights.
Benefits and practical limits
- Freelancers can check the stated reward and their submitted proof before review.
- Employers can assess work against the requirements they funded.
- Both sides have transaction and task records to support a dispute.
Reserved funding reduces settlement risk; it does not guarantee that every task, user, external website, or bank transfer is safe or successful. Keep communication and payment on the platform and consult Safety Tips.
